Dear santa, your great

for christmas i would like my parents not to fight, they drive me crazy.
and i would also like some new things for my puppy, cuz shes my baby.
then a new car would be nice.. since mine isnt the greatest, dont worry santa you dont have to wrap it, just make sure theres a nametag on it so it doesnt get stolen like my radio.
AND i new radio would be nice since a thanksgiving thief stole my 200 dollar radio.. thanks.
ummmmm and some new jeans im in bad need.
and you need to fly safe so next year you can visit me
much love,
megan.

fuzzy christmas memories :]

there was this one time when i was like 7 or something and i woke up at like 4 30 and ran out to the tree but santa wasnt there :(
so i woke up again at 6 and he had been there, he left me a note and everything.
i remember that was the best christmas because i was like wow im a cool kid i got a letter from santa and the writing was all swirley and everything. <3
then i got some pretty awsome presents and my new kitty was there and yeah it was a great one

i dont like this blog assignment but hey im going to do it....

word of the day

sac·ro·sanct · (adjective)
1 : most sacred or holy : inviolable 2 : treated as if holy : immune from criticism or violation

i wish i was sacrosanct, then nobodys opinion could hurt me, maybe everyone should be.. there wouldn't be as much fighting in the world and nobody would be hurt. If your immune your good to go nobody can bring you down.

My first reporter was Nina Bernstein a Metro Reporter
I really admire how she always wanted to be a reporter.
I love how shes really dedicated to what she does, even if the story seems impossible shes gets the task done.

My second reporter was Daniel J. Wakin just a normal Reporter

He gave really good information to a student Dylan about how his dream of being a reporter can come true. He talked about colleges and classes to take to fulfill your dream.
I think its cool how he got to travel around the world, he even went to Korea to do an assignment.
He also went through what a day in his life is like, i enjoyed that because it just goes to show that some days it can be easy and other days it can be really challenging but he enjoys each day because hes doing what he loves.

hope <3

what is hope?
deep question fey.
hope is the feeling you get when everything is going down the gutter,
its that little spark that people look forward too when they need cheering up
its kinda like a wish
but deeper than that.

I believe

i believe in fate
people everyday try to change things. when in all actuality if something is going to happen, its going to happen. stop trying to get in the way of the natural cycle of life.
whether it be that its someone trying to save someone thats dying or going to die..
or trying to do something to save a relationship, friendship etc. if its going to die its going to die.. stop trying to make things last that are inevitable. if something isnt meant to be. it isnt meant to be.
I also believe in destiny.
its the better half of fate. destiny usually falls in the catagorie of love or something along those lines.
destiny is everywhere
its also along the lines that if something is going to happen its going to happen. usually good things though.
I believe in second chances.
if someone does something totally awful.
give them a chance to explain themselves.. it may of happend for some reason other than what your thinking. second chances are always the way to go because if you dont give second chances you may loose someone forever.
I believe in Karma
the always said what goes around comes around is totally true
example of my life. i gave money to the homeless then went home and did laundry. there was 20 dollars in my pocket! when i just gave the last two dollars i had until pay day to the guy on the corner..
again what goes around comes around

these may be superstitions but i believe in every single one of them.
so let things happen the way they should, give second chances, and do to others what you want done to yourself

Fall BREAK

first off way to short :(
fall break meant finals... ugh the ever dreaded finals it went pretty well for me thought actually!
first block is algebra two. i failed but that's okay though because i knew i wasn't going to pass
second block is american lit. i had like a 105 in that class then rocked the final! :] wooot
and then i ended the class with a 99.2 because i decided not to hand in 3 study guides but its still an A+
third block RUSTLER didn't have a final but we had a online portfolio hopefully i rocked it?
and fourth block is fine crafts :S i had like a B in there and idk what i got on the final i should probably go check it out
all i know is that it was very hard and was all writing no bubble sheet i had to do the color wheel and idk if i even got that right pretty pathetic i know..
THEN
we had two half days !
and no school friday
no school monday
monday i went into omaha for the first time driving without my parents and didnt get lost!
woohoo even tho i ended up in bumville and thought i was going to get shanked because there was so many cars and scary bums and a long red light and he was staring at me and omg it was scary but i survived thank the lord :]
break was fantastic wish it was longer

next topic
i really wish i was 18 because i want to VOTE
ugh it makes me mad
i think any logical person over the age of 16 should be able to vote because i know whats going on i know the views of both Obama and McCain and i want my voice to be heard but i have to wait 2 freakin years which is LAME
because what if MY opinion changed the outcome? i know it really isn't that possible but it might be.

well im done for now folks
catch ya later

Things I've Learned

Things i've learned this year.

Journalism.
1. i've learned that asking for help brings great rewards.
2. ive learned that if we put all of our stubborness aside we can acomplish great things.
3. ive learned that the kids in journalism are just like a family and that we all hurt when someones not in a good mood or sick in the hospital.
4. ive learned that we should have all of our stuff done a couple days before deadline to reduce austins head from exploding
5. ive learned that our handy dandy little ruslter passes get us everywhere, no questions asked. and that pretty much ROCKS
6. ive learned new skills about how to get ads sold like knowing our production rate and how many eyes look at our paper a month
Things about myself.
1. That i have a job and should love it, i should never stress to the point of having a mental break down during third block
2. That no matter what i do somethings are going to happen anyways
3. That im not invincible, things will get to me
4. Talking back to a teacher will result in getting 2 fifth blocks and 5 demerits
5. That i need to reduce stress, it makes me sleep better and im in a good mood pretty much everyday
6. That if i back up without looking i might accidentally hit a trash can.. or that HUGE brick thing at the YMCA
high school kids learn stuff everyday
just because it isn't how many newtons are in a pencil
or what 895z + -96x (-158) is
doesn't mean it isn't important

death by dream

I'm walking down the street and suddenly i see him, the man of my dreams not really sure who he is or what his name is, but in the dream he was my fiance. As i see him I'm having flashbacks of how we met, us at school together and us at holidays. The night seems to be going perfect we go out to dinner and then take a walk on the beach. Then we proceed to our house, somewhere on the shore not sure what city town or state. When we get there our door is already unlocked not thinking anything of it we walk in there are candels everywhere. At first i thought it was him and i gave him a hug and thanked him. I saw his face and how confused he was, he then told me he didnt know what was going on. Not believing him i go into the kitchen to find glasses of wine already drank from. Theres loud jazz music coming from our house and we try to figure out where its coming from. All of a sudden im grabbed from behind by a vague object. My fiance and I are then dragged into this room, it used to be our utility closet but its kinda creepy like the Saw rooms. After a couple of days the guys come back and tourture us. At the end of my dream i have something wrapped around my neck. I then wake up from not being able to breath to find my phone cord wrapped around my neck.
Its from me charging my phone next to my bed and setting it next to me so i can text people easier during the night.
After me almost passing out from not being able to breath i havent had my phone charger next to my bed since.

the writings on the bathroom stall

so recently we have had "bomb threats" at our school and we've had to go on lock down two times already during first block, so they could check lockers or something along those lines.
for one i think the bomb threats are getting really annoying. i feel that its some dumb kids trying to get out of school for a day. and its interrupting my learning. i already have a hard enough time in algebra two as it is. and now we have announcements about lock downs
geeze some kids in this school need to grow up and stop writing on our bathroom stall walls
and it just ruined our spirit week

hopefully it is just kids playing a not funny, really annoying prank

thumbs up for obama

Mrs. Fey wants us to blog about the presidential campaign.
So, here i go.
I think that McCain and Palin are nuts and have no clue what they are talking about. Palin is a HUGE hypocrite.. I'm not trying to bash at her daughter or anything but she wants sex ed to be taught in the home and not in school? she didn't do a very good job at making her daughter understand the topic. The campaign isn't about family at all but OMG she turns her self and everything she says into a double standard. Soccer mom, who cares? not me
One question i would ask her is this- Why do you think you have the choice to take a personal choice away from girls all over the United States? I'm guessing she would come back with something totally off subject like how we should drill for oil instead of preserve energy.
Obama is the man and if he doesn't win our country is in for it.
Start looking for somewhere else to hide because your not going to be safe in the United States, Bush already ruined us and McCain will definatley drill us into the ground.
